golf course wedding
Sam & Brian had a wedding day so dreamy that I would be selfish not to share the eye candy details and uber-romantic, sun-drenched portraits with all of you. Everything that they surrounded themselves in that day was amazing, from the venue to the people chosen to stand by their sides. I love a wedding party who knows how to have fun, and I love a couple like Sam & Brian who break out in dance parties in the middle of their bride/groom portraits. 😂
I'm SO happy that I got to photograph this awesome couple from the moment Brian placed that gorgeous engagement ring on Sam's finger, to when he topped it off with a wedding band and made their forever together an official thing. These two are truly made for each other and it's so fun to capture!!

Kathryn and I first met at this sweet wedding (cheers to you, Devin & Geo, for sharing me with K&J!!) and when John contacted me about photographing their proposal at the Stone Arch Bridge I was giddy with excitement. From there, I somehow became lucky enough that they decided they wanted me along for the full ride - their engagement session still remains a favorite of mine to this day, and now their wedding day is right up there with it. They have impeccable style, they know how to have REALLY great time (even when Mother Nature decides to pour rain on their entire day), and most of all they have a love for each other that is just SO amazing to witness. They've got it all figured out!!

I was only with Amy & Steven for a short 5 hours of their wedding day, and yet I felt no shortage of love or joy in my time with them. In fact, they're one of those couples that exude SO much excitement and happiness in every moment together that you can't help but feel energized about life once you leave them!
Their day was perfect in every sense of the word. From the beautiful sunny weather, to the ever-lasting fall colors that we experienced last season, to the family and friends involved in their day - it was so fun to be involved in this wonderful day. Enjoy this small peek into Amy & Steven's wedding!
My job has a funny way of making different parts of my life resurface, and I have come to find that I absolutely adore the crazy coincidences that it brings along. Emily went to Augsburg with me and Matt went to my high school!! My worlds collided on their wedding day and it's little side stories like this that make my work even more fun than it already is. Like when you come to find that the groom's Best Man rode your school bus growing up! Haha! Spending a full day with Emily, Matt, and their amazing family and friends was the best way I could have asked to spend New Years Eve - I even got to steal a kiss from my hubby at midnight because he was my assistant that ran my photo booth! :) It's only once a year that midnight at a wedding means the photographer is still around, and it was totally worth staying the extra time to capture the 12:00am countdown and the bride & groom's first New Years smooch as husband and wife. This day was all-around spectacular!! E&M, thankyouthankyouthankyou for having me as your photographer. You two are the best kind of people and I'm grateful to have gotten to spend this time with you both!!

Two months ago today, it was a gorgeous day. The sun shined at a perfect 80 degrees on Megan and Alex as they united as one in front of their favorite people. I still find myself thinking back on their day and smiling.... I mean, what's not to love about their day? Their romantic color palette and details were incredibly fun for a photographer like myself to document. Their goofy wedding party had me laughing for the entirety of the day. The bride & groom giggled without holding back, finding the ultimate comfort in each other's arms under the branches of a willow tree.
Joy and love. How do I get so lucky to be a part of this?!
